Biography

I was 12 years old, my mother, an agent for renowned photographers such as Tom Watson and Debra Kellner, used to ask my opinion on the choice of photos for the composition of the portfolios.

Having no theoretical background, I relied on my deep feelings, a sort of internal compass indicating the subjective quality of an image.

Emotion, play of light, composition… I unconsciously exercised my critical eye by simply sharing an enriching dialogue around the artistic dimension.

Navigating in this environment I had the opportunity to assist Vincent J Musi, famous photographer of the National Geographic during a 2-week shooting at the Mercantour National Park. There I understand, I really live it. The passion, the fusion with nature, the investment, the patience.

That freezing night, where we took turns to monitor the camera in order to immortalize a prehistoric stele under the Milky Way, struck me.

I then concretely measure the spiritual dive proposed by these suspended moments, alone facing the void, and the intense commitment that this passion demands.

Was I ready?

Apparently I didn't have the necessary maturity yet.

At the same time, I was fully involved in the world of alternative music. We were fueled by adrenaline, communion and a surge of freedom.

My choice at the time was obvious: I became a DJ and party organizer, allowing me to express my creativity in a different way.

15 years of total investment, crowned with success since we ended up playing on the legendary stage of the Olympia, but leaving me exhausted and deeply questioning the meaning of my life.

After a few years of wandering, I bought my first reflex camera, a Nikon D75.

I took it to India and went crazy with the bright colors. The frenzy of this country put me in a trance and everything opened up for me at that moment in an almost mystical energy. I felt that my professional path was there in my hands; but at the same time it also deeply echoed with the spiritual awakening that was occurring in me.

I questioned my ethical stance, the notions of respect and interaction with living things.

The choice to live closer to nature was obvious to me, I moved to the Bask country where the quality of the landscapes pushes me to perfect my technique.

I also found on this ancestral land the subtle energies which supports my personal journey…

In 2024, we embark on a year-long family road trip across the USA, Hawaii and Central America. This adventure will prove to be a true initiatory journey as it was so revealing: I experienced my first real photographic ecstasies, shooting lunar landscapes. I was able to experience the solitude of the quest for the image as an ally in the end.

Finally ready, finally at peace with myself in the face of the immensity of the world.

Through exceptional human encounters, I am inspired and moved by these men and women in deep connection with planet Earth, connected to their roots. We also experience during this journey moments of grace where the visible and invisible worlds interfere, thus testifying to my multidimensional conception of life.

It is this essence of all this beauty that I strive to capture.

In case we missed it...
